"Paris based Dark Sanctuary formed in February 1996.Exaudi Vocem Meam I was originally released in 2005 and was the band’s fifth album and the first section of a two part concept.

As is consistent with the band’s albums to date, they create dark & emotional ambient soundscapes in the vein of Dead Can Dance and Arcana. Beautiful female vocals backed up by strings, piano, and a broad array of instrumentation plus a very diverse mix of French, German, Latin & English lyrics help enrich the atmosphere.

The album features a guest appearance from Theodor Schwadorf of The Vision Bleak on the track ‘Dein kalter Stein’."
