"CHRONICLING THE EARLY YEARS OF DARKTHRONE - FEATURES ALL DEMOS, RARE LIVE TRACKS & THE LOST UNRELEASED ORIGINAL, GOATLORD INSTRUMENTAL ALBUM FROM 1991.

A fascinating glimpse into the early years of one of Metal's most ferocious ambassadors.

Frostland Tapes also includes Darkthrone’s early demos, plus a live recording from Denmark in 1990 and the all-instrumental, and rightly infamous 1991 Goatlord rehearsal sessions.

These songs were intended to feature on the proposed second album, before the band changed direction and the tapes were confined to the vaults. Vocals were subsequently added in the mid-nineties, but they are presented here as the recording sounded in 1991, showing the complexity and intricacy of a band with a great future ahead of them."
