"A Bureaucratic Desire for Extra-Capsular Extraction is a compilation album by the Washington drone metal band Earth. Released in October 2010 via Southern Lord Records, twenty years after it's original recording, this compilation captures the full recording session at Smegma Studios. The first three songs would originally appear on the 1991 EP Extra-Capsular Extraction while the last four songs would appear as bonus tracks on the re-issue for Sunn Amps and Smashed Guitars. Notably in the liner notes, "A Bureaucratic Desire for Extra-Capsular Extraction" is referred to as the first Earth full-length, "before time, theft and EARTH 2 changed things."."
