""Deeper Underground" is a single by British funk/acid jazz band Jamiroquai that appeared on the soundtrack to the 1998 film, Godzilla. The song was also included as a bonus track on the group's fourth studio album, Synkronized, as well as on the special edition of the group's fifth album, A Funk Odyssey.

The song became a hit in several countries, finding the most success in the band's native United Kingdom, and becoming the group's first and only single to reach number one on the UK Singles Chart.[1] The track replaced Another Level's ‘Freak Me’ at the top, and spent a week there before being knocked off by the Spice Girls' Viva Forever. To date, Deeper Underground has sold 339,100 copies."
