"The two tracks speak to the duality of the band’s sound, spanning from raucous garage to melancholic art rock. ‘People Like You’ uses an Angel-Olsen-indebted groove as the vessel for a rebuke to boastful, arrogant bigots, while ‘Sliding Doors’ provides a more tender examination of the mixed feelings that accompany student farewells (frontman Thomas Cockram is a teacher at an English Language school). Mixing and Mastering services were provided by the insurmountable Jeremy Segal of Segue fame and Michael Jelinek of Jelly Sound respectively."
